Gynecology in Seville
At the Dres. Jiménez Gynecological Clinic we see women of all ages, with a personal consultation, time to listen to you and ultrasound during the visit itself.
Check-ups and prevention
The preventive visit is the foundation of gynecologic health. We talk about your menstrual health, contraception and sexually transmitted infections, examine you and, when appropriate, perform:
- Pap smear and HPV testing to detect changes of the cervix early.
- Breast examination and guidance on imaging (ultrasound, mammography, MRI).
- Gynecologic ultrasound.
Colposcopy
Colposcopy is an examination of the cervix with a colposcope, a lighted magnifying instrument. It is done in the office when a Pap smear or HPV test is abnormal, or for other findings, and a small sample (biopsy) is taken if needed. It takes a few minutes.

Gynecologic conditions we assess
- Uterine fibroids, with radiofrequency ablation as an option.
- Endometriosis and adenomyosis.
- Menstrual disorders and abnormal bleeding.
- Pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.
- Vaginal infections, such as candidiasis.
- Menopausal symptoms and genital tissue changes, with regenerative gynecology options.
Contraception and family planning
We help you choose the method that suits you best, including placement of intrauterine devices (IUDs), hormonal and non-hormonal.
Gynecologic surgery
When surgery is needed, we favor minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy, and explain the alternatives and risks of each.
Sexual health and wellbeing
We also talk about sexuality and emotional wellbeing, and refer you to other professionals when that is best for you.
If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy

Frequently asked questions
How often should I have a check-up?
It depends on your age and history. We discuss it in the consultation and suggest a schedule.
What is the difference between a Pap smear and colposcopy?
A Pap smear collects cells from the cervix for analysis; colposcopy is a magnified examination done if that test is abnormal.
Can I consult without traveling?
Yes, we offer an online consultation.
